This 30-hour IV Certification course meets the requirements of the Florida State Board of Nursing for certification of LPNs to administer IV therapy. This course is approved for all Nurses: LPN, RN, ARNP, ER Techs, Graduate Nurses, Medical Assistants, Dentistry, Respiratory Care Practitioner Critical Care, Respiratory Care Practitioner Non-Critical Care, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Midwife. Candidate for the Nurse Bridge Program; LPN to RN, Respiratory Therapist to RN program, Candidate entering RN Program are approved to take this course. LPNs and RNs who want to refresh or have been out of clinical practice for a period of time and want to revise and improve your IV skills, you are also welcome to take this course. Great course for Graduate Nurses!! as well as other Health care workers who want to complete the training or to refresh. Also approved by the Georgia, Florida Board of Nursing etc.

The purpose of the intravenous (I.V.) therapy course is to provide guidelines for the delivery and safe management of Intravenous therapy. This course will provide the healthcare workers with an understanding of various aspects of intravenous (IV) therapy including: how to care for patients receiving Intravenous therapy, information about the venous system, fluid and electrolyte balance, peripheral veins, common I.V. terms, venipuncture, access to deliver Intravenous therapy, including different catheters and their function/use, specific Intravenous therapies, complications associated with intravenous route, different types of Intravenous equipment, correct administration of Intravenous solutions, medications, parenteral nutrition, blood transfusion, legal aspect of IV therapy, infection control standards and the scope of practice. The course consists of both theory and actual hands-on-practice sessions.

You will be given the opportunity to learn at your own pace.

ONLINE & CLASS SESSION (Blended course)

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) is designed to train Healthcare Providers / Professionals to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for the Adult, Child, and Infant victims. This course teaches all levels of CPR skills, AED, use of a bag-valve mask / use of a resuscitation mask, relief of choking; consistent with the AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC. 

BLS CPR/AED program is required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.

This course is available through ONLINE & CLASS SESSION.

First complete the ONLINE Session, then come into class for Skills practice and check off. Please bring a copy of your successful completion with you to the class.

The class session incorporates, skills practice and demonstration, case-based emergency response scenarios, and activities which includes team-based response.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history. CE Credits will be awarded for the Boards who are approved (as applicable).
